Trouble Setting Text links

RapidWeaver Elements 1.4.0 (23889)

I have attached a very short (3 page) project. On the first page, I’m trying to set page links on the text boxes in the sidebar. As you can see, one of these (Calendar) has set properly. The other two (for “home” and “photos”) won’t set properly. I have created no global components yet - so not sure why I can’t get something this simple to work. Help?

You need to highlight the text to add a link, like this:

Sorry I also go off on a bit of a tangent and suggest you should be using a menu component to manage your site navigation. Hope it all helps!

Thank you Dan! Kind of amazing that I “forgot” to actually highlight the text to set the link. Simple, and now again, obvious

I will follow your additional suggestion to use the “top pages” component too. I had an earlier version where I inserted “top pages” in the header, but didn’t like it there for my specific use - didn’t realize (still new to all of this) that I could use it elsewhere, and set it to vertical.

Thank you again for your quick, right-to-the point response!

You’re welcome, Elements is a huge app with lots to learn. Take your time and have fun

I have added a link to a word as on the video up to 00:45. In preview the default and hover colors show but in the browser the colors do not show up. The link is there however.

Edit: Never mind, I used a button instead of highlighting a word in a sentence .
