Unable to publish after latest classic update

I have two websites. One hosted with Bluehost (fifteen years), and another with Network solutions (recent). I am unable to publish to both hosts after this latest Classic update. The test and browse functions both work within the ftp publish. They both begin to load and then stop midway with the message, unable to publish. Nothing has changed in the path or permissions on my Bluehost site. Frustrating to say the least. Both hosts insist it is an issue with my ftp utility and offer now further help. Any suggestions?

Hi @RNavarre

Easiest thing to test would be to downdate to the version of Classic that you were using before you updated and test to see if publishing starts working again.

You can download an older point release of Classic from our Release Notes page below:

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you! That did it. I had to roll back to Classic v-9.5 before it would publish. I guess I will stay with that version for now. I hope you can look into what is going on with the publishing aspect in the latest version. Not sure if anyone else has had the same issue?

Also, I am considering Elements but have been reading in the comments how many people are unable to replicate their older RW sites in the new iteration. Take a look at my stressdeense.com and let me know if it can be ported to Elements.

Thanks again.

Ron

I cannot open your link. Can you please check?

If you want you can create a new subdomain in your BlueHost or Network Solutions account, something like https://rmstest.stressdeense.com (make sure you give this new subdomain a new and separate directory from any other site on your account), and then create a new FTP user that only has access to that https://rmstest.stressdeense.com account/directory.

You could then share with us that new FTP username and password via our support email support@realmacsoftware.com, along with your RapidWeaver project file, and we could test uploading the site on our end to see if we can spot any errors.

Hi

I also have the same problem, and downgrading does not solve the issue. Using latest version of Classic and also tried v 9.5. Using Tahoe OS26.

Thanks
