Update Error with RW 9.3.4

I’m not sure my .jpg uploaded properly so it can be seen.
It says: “Update Error! Rapidweaver can’t be updated if it’s running from the location it was downloaded to.”

This happened after using CleanMyMac.app and an alert said that CleanMyMac had created RapidWeaver. Kind of went by quickly so I didn’t really catch all that it said.

RW 9.3.4
M1 iMac
CleanMyMac 5.0.7

I have never had a problem updating previously.

Hi @JJB,

Make sure to move RapidWeaver to your Applications folder, then open it up and try the update. Let us know if that doesn’t work.

Since CleanMyMac was involved in creating this error, If you need to trash your currently installed version of RapidWeaver first, you can redownload any version on our release notes page here https://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/releasenotes/, then move the new downloaded app to the Applications folder, open, and try the update.

Let us know if that doesn’t work.
