I just downloaded the demo version of Stacks 3, but after installing it…using RW 6.3.3, it didn’t show up. This can’t be good. M

I can’t find any of the RW folders on my HD or on Time Machine using the directions from responses to THEMES & ADDONS MISSING. But, that’s probably just me… M
Although I have found the RW folders under Macintosh HD/Users/NewMovius/Library/Applications Support they are all empty. But, that could just be a permissions item. M
@movius, that’s the RW5 folder, try the RW6 folder
In RW6 Addons, Themes etc are kept in:
~Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/ as mentioned in @zeebe’s reply to you. (It’s a hidden folder)
Open finder, select Go so the menu pops open, hold the option key down, you will see Library added, click that, then…
For installed stacks: Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/Stacks/
For installed Themes: Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/Themes/

A simpler way is to start RW6, hold down the alt key and go to RapidWeaver 6 > Reveal Addons Folder in the menu.
Absolutely, when the app is working, however, the instructions were for restoring from Time Machine, the OP couldn’t find the folders with the Themes, stacks and Plugins

Using the Alt Key, it was able to locate Stacks 3.03 and several other plugins. However, it didn’t find my themes.

Do you use any Mac cleanup apps that, when an app is removed, remove the supporting folders for that app? If so, the removal of the app might have triggered and automatic clean up.
The easiest check would be to, after applying the update to RapidWeaver, restart your Mac. This will ensure that any system issues (which, in this case appear to be RapidWeaver being unable to load the “sandbox” folder the system creates and manages on the app’s behalf).

Nikf I did as you asked, but continue to receive the errors about plugins and my themes. I updated RW from the menu selection, updated the file, opened RW and then restarted my Mac. Is there a way of removing and replacing the call up for the sandbox? Or, is that something we don’t want to do? Mike
In that case: re-download RapidWeaver from http://realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/releasenotes/#6.3.7
Remove the existing version, install the new version. Restart your Mac, and then re-launch RapidWeaver.

@nikf Although I’d downloaded RW 6.3.7 several times, removing the existing version and restarting…I did it again with the same resulting error messages. So, how do we remover the call-up part of the RW program? I believe that once that is accomplished, 6.3.7 may actually work. Please advise…

So, what is the fix, here? I’ve been redownloading plugins and installing them. But, they don’t appear in the stacks collection, with the exception of PayLoom. But, aside from that, I’m still stymied. What are your suggestions? Mike

Are you installing as user or admin on OSX?

Have you done a HDD First Aid to repair permissions and verify disk (Reboot system after completed and repaired)?

Is this occurring on a Mac or Hackintosh?

Have you sent support the Support Logs from your installation (Start RapidWeaver, do not open a project), select Help -> Copy Support Logs, paste into a pages document or textedit file and send to support.

Also, some have actually Repaired Permissions (via the Terminal in El Cap) and had some success with various issues. Though Apple says it’s not necessary. But, what do they know?

Installing the update as admin. Conducted first aid without permission errors and rebooted. My iMac is 2 years old. Sorry, but a Hackintosh isn’t in my lexicon. I’m attaching my log. I redownloaded my lost theme. I’m still missing a ton of plugins AND Formloom2 doesn’t appear in my plugin library even though RW says it’s there. I’m pretty disgusted.
My log is 4X larger than your character limit. I’ve attached some if it.

Manual check permissions is disabled in El Cap and I ran it already in auto mode. NO PROBLEMS. NOTHING TO REPAIR!
Mike, this really is beyond my scope of abilities, but I would suggest you zip the logs, throw them on Dropbox or similar and send a link to support@realmacsoftware.com with a description of the problem.
To me (like I said though, this is not my area), it looks like it is trying to find Stacks plugin by YourHead Software and is unable…
It also looks like it is trying to edit the live site… do you have the project file local?
You also have an image or a link with a %20 in it (space), this is bad…

Tells me that at the root of your site, you are going 2 folders back to get your resources… bad link!?
It also looks like the project is trying to link to other files/folders below your root folder
In your projects preferences, do you happen to have relative to page or DOCROOT configured?, should be relative to page.
Something is definitely going on, I just don’t know what exactly as it seems like there are several issues with the Project file.
Hopefully @nikf can have a look and see what’s going on but those are some of my “Guesses”.

Thank you. The project in reference really isn’t the one I’m concerned about. That one is pretty small. My much bigger project (1900 files) is of most concern. I figured that Realmac wasn’t going to be very helpful, so I downloaded as many of the addons and plugins and themes that I could, reinstalled them and redeveloped my project under a new theme. It is now up and online.
I’m now in a debugging mode with it. I appreciate your assistance and suggestions. Mike
