It would save time if there were Update Template and Update Global commands. The only way I see to do that now is to save the new setup, copy the name from the old setup, delete the old setup, paste the old name into the new setup. Just writing this makes it obvious how helpful an Update command would be.
Hmmm, Globals by their very nature get updated everywhere, what would an “Update Global” command do?
LOL, I realized that last night while I was sleeping! I’m still learning how to use Elements. Globals are a bit confusing, and I am working with them more to better understand how they work. Anyway, the command for Templates would be helpful.
I don’t think that would work for Templates because as soon as you have copied a template into a page you are then free to do what you want with. It is now individual Components (which is the whole point of it).
So there is no way that Elements could work out how to update it.
That’s not what I’m suggesting @logrunner. I want to update the template for future uses. Say I make changes to my template layout, and I understand that all “set” instances will not change, but I want all future instances to be changed.
