I have elements 1.3.1.
When I attempt to get a newer update version, I get this error message.
I am not yet doing anything, but I have to have Elements open to see the update choice.

Hi @traut,
Usually when that error pops up it means you are running Elements from outside of the Applications folder. Can you confirm if your Elements app is located in your Applications folder on your Mac?
Also recently someone saw that error when their Elements App wasn’t named correctly. Should just be Elements.app (Elements), so make sure it’s named correctly too.
