An issue that is driving me nuts! I am experimenting with Elements Blog before commiting it to a site with my new Elements build; however with my test Blog pages if I publish locally they work fine, but when I upload them to my host they do not! The images on the About page and the individual author page do not appear. I have examined the file structure on my local publish and my upload and they seem to be identical. Any thoughts?
If you could share the project and/or the live site URL that would be helpful in diagnosing the issue for you ![]()
Site uploaded, thank you.
Can you sure the Elements Cloud Link along with the Live site URL?
Ah-hah! This is because macOS is not strictly case-sensitive, but the server you’re hosting your website on is.
Elements will lowercase all filenames to ensure they are web-safe (ann-page.jpg), however your markdown files have them in mixed case (Ann-Page.jpg).
I’d recommend making all your filenames web-safe, and lowercase in the Resources area, then update the references in your markdown files to match. This should fix the issue for you.
What great support, thank you. I will give it a go!
Perfect, let me know how you get on!
Worked 1st time, great thank you.
Awesome, that’s great news!
