Uploading .zip file via RW Classic

Good day all~ Recently have had transfer failures from RW to hosting.com (A2) when uploading more than 2k files. Opended a ticket and they quickly responded that this is an issue of FTP timeouts with that many files and recommended to send a .zip instead. They gave me steps to take once uploaded, big question I have can I upload via RW publishing or do I have to do that outside of RW? And if so, what do I zip? And can I selectively zip those pages that need to be updated or is it the entrire site each time? Appreciate any insight and thankful for taking a look. Cheers

First off, we seemed to have fixed this issue with Realmac a few weeks ago for a client, so if you’re looking for a new host-with-the-most, we’re here at Chillidog Hosting. If not, maybe @differentdan as an answer for your trailing questions.

You might be able to solve this by switching over to SFTP which your web host seems to allow Using FTP with Linux hosting accounts

Give that a try and let us know if you can publish via RapidWeaver.

Thanks Brian~. Out of the country right now but will look over when I get back. Many thanks for the response. Cheers

Thanks Dan~ Will give it a try when I get back to home base. Appreciate the reach out. Cheers

Hi @differentdan ~ I have switched to SFTP and seems to be doing the trick. Will try a heavier load and update the thread.

Also thanks @LaPan ~ Just reup’d with A2 (Hosting) but will consider Chilidog after cruisng your site. Cheers
