Use Element and Classic together

Hello and Moin,

Is it possible to use ready-made Classic forms with Elements? My idea is to leave the Classic form as it is and simply put a link to the folder where the forms are in Elements. In my case, that would be, for example, a change of school.

You can’t mix both as such but you can put an iFrame to any web site page so you could add an iFrame to Elements and out link to form therefore having a classic/RW form in an Elements project.

That’s not correct. You can absolutely use both Elements and Classic for the same website.

For example, you can build page A with Elements and page B with Classic. I still have a few projects running like that at the moment, simply because I haven’t had the time yet to move everything over to Elements.

So how are you putting your classic page into Elements? Unless youre using the Classic to Elements convertor?

Maybe we’re misunderstanding each other a little.

What I mean is that my website consists of two parts: some pages were created with Classic and are still maintained there, while other pages were built with RW Elements and are now managed through that.

In other words, you can keep parts of your website—such as an existing and fully functional Classic form—running as they are. At the same time, the rest of your project can consist of pages that you create and maintain with Elements.

The downside is that you need to use two different apps to manage and maintain the same website. Of course, it’s possible that I’ve completely misunderstood the topic of the original post.

That was exactly my question and that’s how I actually see it. I have a site built on Classic and want to use my forms from it. So I thought I’d rebuild them and only keep the forms from Classic.

Why do I have to do that? Because in RW Classic, which works better with the form and is easier than with Element. Since I work with Google Cheats and school too and it is already set up there, I don’t want to do such a hack there, i.e. I completely create my website with Element. Leave the folder on the server where the forms are. So also the website and simply link them together that is my thought. I can customize the page from the form a little after the new design of Elements then it should actually be possible. Hopefully.
