User manual

I am not sure whether or not this has been asked already, but are you producing a written user manual rather than just videos? I find it virtually impossible to look at a video and then remember enough to actually put it into action.

Hey @sue1,

The manual (linked above) is packed with information, but it’s still a work in progress. We’re updating it every week with new content. If you notice anything missing, just let us know and we’ll either help out or make sure it gets added.

Cheers
Tom

Thank you, but my issue is that the manual seems to be made up of videos, call me old fashioned, but I find it much easier to print off a written manual and work from that. Will you be producing a written manual?

The manual includes a mix of written content and short, focused videos. Each video is typically around 2–3 minutes long and demonstrates a specific task. In many cases, it’s much easier to show how something works rather than describe it.

That said, we do plan to create a written version of each video. It will just take us a little longer to produce.

Hi Tom,

I know you guys are running real fast with the explosion of the customer base. If someone had a minute to review the Manual in “Element Link” also known as elements-docs to have a link to the appropriate Dev Diary video it would be nice.

Things like Typography made much more sense when I looked at the video. Maybe at some point the Manual can be a customer based WiKi?

As they say one sign of getting older is when you reply to your own posts.

I found @dan made a post 6 months ago in the Github repository under theme-studio that has just what we need. I have not used Github in forever and don’t have the perms, but maybe his mention might spark a copy and commit.

Keep up the good work @dan
