Using non Youtube or Vimeo links to create a remote file for Video Player

I don’t have any problems creating YouTube links as remote resources and pull over into the Video Player. Is there a way to create a remote resource using Google Drive or OneDrive, etc? I have not been able to get this to work and maybe it is not supported.

Any ideas?

As far as I know, those services do not provide a direct, publicly accessible video file URL by default…

For self-hosted video, the best approach is to upload the .mp4 to proper web hosting and use the direct file URL.
