Using PHP and MySQL

Hi,

This may have been asked before, but I wanted to check.

Is it possible to retrieve data from a MySQL database using PHP and display the results in a grid or table?

I often do this for clients using Classic and Foundation in an HTML stack.

If this is possible, is there currently a tutorial or video on this, or are there any plans to create one?

Many thanks,

John

Yes, you can use a custom component, they are super powerful!

You should also check out the docs and videos, there’s a lot you can do with them.

I signed up for Elements Pro yesterday. It looks absolutely fantastic and is precisely what I’ve been searching for.

For years, I’ve been developing functional websites for clients using Classic. While it’s quick to build the design, it’s a bit clumsy when it comes to adding custom code in HTML stacks.

I’m excited to see that CMS and blogs are on the roadmap.

Could you please provide an estimated timeline for their release?

Thanks,

John

Hi @johnhiggins,

I’m so pleasd to hear you’re enjoying Elements.

With regards to the CMS/blogging support, we don’t have an estimated timeline for that right now as it’s notoriously difficult to estimate release dates. Especially as we’re taking on feedback from you guys to improve the product. However, I want to reassure you it is something that is super high on our list and we will get to it. but first we need to get all the basics in, such as Forms and those are due VERY soon

Thanks!
