Using Sitelok with Poster 2

Hello Weavers,

I have used Sitelok for a while and am fairly familiar with how to use it. I have just purchased Poster 2 and I would like to protect the dynamically created blog pages using Sitelok.

Any thoughts as to how to go about this?

By way of little more detail, I plan to have maybe 4 separate blogs. Each blog will require the reader to be in a Sitelok user group that allows access to the blog detail pages.

Possible?

Mark

Do you want to protect the whole blog or separate posts? Protecting the whole blog page should work.

I don’t think protecting separate posts will work by now.

I see an update on the horizon allowing you some kind of membership integration into Poster 2 in combination with Sitelok. That is some time away, though.

Hi Jannis,

Thanks for the rapid response. I would be looking to protect the whole blog, so hopefully should be easy enough to set up. I will give it a go and report back my findings.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Jannis,

Apologies for delay in getting back, but just to let you know that works really well! The blog pages are protected as intended, and even the permalink is secured (if someone tries to paste in the permalink when not logged in with appropriate permissions in Sitelok then they are requested to log in). Great!

Of course, if there is even more functionality that can be achieved with a tighter Sitelok integration, then that would be great, but the solution proposed above works just as I need it to.
