My video clip in Cinema (Foundry3), keeps trimming of the bottom of the video clip. However in a video stack it is ok. I have played around with the padding using the spacing controls.
I can get the image larger but the bottom part of the video clip just is not showing.
The banner (Cinema) video is playing once it loads. The actual video is the first clip which shows the full height of the video.
Please kindly assist.
Best regards
Leonard
PS. I have another issue which is troubling. Each time I save different versions as I progress. However occasionally when I open a version it says I have to relink the the resources which are missing.
The problem with the video is its aspect ratio. Cinema tries to scale the video to the width of the container (which in your case is the entire width of the browser window), hich leads to cropping of the video’s height.
You can’t fix this using CSS, as this is hardcoded into Cinema.
The only solution I see, is to either pick a video that has a wider aspect ratio, or edit the video into a wider aspect ratio.
As for the linking of resources - are you on the latest version of Stacks? Stacks 4.xx had this bug where images were unlinked occasionally (in my experience, when you put your Mac to sleep with a project opened).
Officially, this has been fixed in Stacks 5.xx, but I’ve seen questions on here lately that suggest that the bug is back.
This bug needs to be fixed by Yourhead (the publishers of Stacks). Until then, make sure to save your progress regularly (like every 10 minutes) and close your project and RapidWeaver when you put your Mac to sleep (or leave your Mac for longer periods).
This has to do with the age of the plugins - they’re old and in some cases no longer properly maintained by their developer. Newer versions of macOS on modern Macs can no longer run these plugins, and it’s up to the developer to release new versions of those plugins that can run on newer versions of macOS.
But not all is lost! Please see this document on the steps you can do to get (some) of these to run.
