Can someone please tell me what is going on with this video page, everything is fine up until the last few entries. Do I need to start a new page. it is quite weird I have had to add links to the text to try to get the video to display. but the whole (person display template) has separated yet it is all together in elements. Video Archive to the present day
As there has been no response I have tried various possible solutions but none work.
I have created a new YouTube playlist and moved videos to that. It is possible that there is a delay here so will know better tomorrow. But that is happening is that the last three videos are repeats of the previous 4th video, and although the new video is added turns blue as all previous videos do. When it is published it plays the same video in the last 4 entries. I can not understand why. Is there any advice on what is happening and what the solution might be?
did you set these up the same way, looks like the first 4 are the same video, also undefined, the previous before the last 4 are setup different but have different videos
All set up the same way Steve, I duplicated contents cleared it and added the new videos , that didn’t work so added new components added the new videos, well actually when the new video was added it indicated the video as the one uploaded in text format only followed by YouTube weblog. But, when published it replaced the new with the old, played the old videos, when I looked at the exported files they shewed the old videos, when I tried to edit the exported file in it wants to save it as RTFD files which don’t work either. tired it in FileZilla too same result.
Have you tried starting a new project and adding the 4 new videos only
No but I Have on a new page and that didn’t work either which is why I divided the content into a new playlist, to reduce the playlist content.I will try that tomorrow but it doesn’t sort out this anomaly. Has the form problem been sorted out yet, I haven’t tried it since?
Thought the form was sorted, always worked for me. You can just try on a separate project and load up to a different folder to test?
Try your 4 videos in a new project
If you can share the project via Elements Cloud we can take a look, without it we are working blind.
Yes, this is a big time saver, especially when building test projects you need to publish to the same server ![]()
I Have solved the conundrum, it was of course my doing, but a lesson learned, I had added a link to the overall card, which of course once duplicated, duplicated the link and override what was put into the video. A lesson learned, It is so easy to get distracted and forget what you have done. Joe’s pen stack begins to make sense. a quick note of what was done can save hours of head scratching and time.
Graham I will release as free when the store is setup, put whatever you like in here notes components, completely hidden or the + bit setup components hide until ready then drop back onto page
Many thanks Steve, that will be most helpful.![]()
