Warehouse images

Will it possible in the future to add warehouse images or image folders to the Gallery? I have a lot of photo galleries, and my Elements project is 1.4Gb. Most of the images are approx. 100kb.

I use bunny.net to warehouse my external data for my website… about 24 gigs and 3,400 links. I think you can add those photos as Remote Resources in your project with a URL from bunny.net

The more seasoned Elements guys may have a better answer.

The base Gallery component doesn’t allow warehoused images, however the Gallery Pro component does if you need. :slightly_smiling_face:

And where is this setting in the GalleryPro component? I watched the video Dan made, and I searched the User Manual, but I can’t find it.

Add them as “Remote Resources” more details here…

Let me know if you need further help with this

I have watched the video for remote resources. I have a folder with four images for practice on a remote server. When I create the remote link (URL) for the folder in resources and then drag that into Gallery Pro, nothing happens.

Apparently I am doing something wrong. Suggestions?

Thanks

Add the urls for each image on the server, not the remove folder URL. Once you have the remote resource links for each image in Elements, you can drop them into a folder, however…

Gallery Pro might not work with remote images as it needs to generate thumbnails.

I’d recommend dropping the images into you Elements Project locally for best results.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. That certainly works, but it seems like a lot of file dragging and then pumping up the size of the website. My finished product will have close to 100 images.

Thanks for the quick reply.
