I wonder if anyone van help. Ive built a couple of sites from scratch…trial and error. But downloaded this template but im struggling to replace the main hero background image with a background video. I can add the video element as the bot reccomended but the resposiveness doersnt work properly….id like the video not to reduce in size to keep the ratio…as it creates gaps. plus no matter what z index i put the text does show on the video…even when i drag it on to the video element. Any help would be a ppreacited….i built this site in rapid weaver and now want to recreate in elements. the original site is www.seriouslycollins.com

I just read your post but i‘m not at my computer. Will have a look tomorrow if and how the static image can be replaced by a video.
Ive kind of got it sorted with a container to get it to work. But yet to get the menu to sit on it. but ive up dated the site. Thank you.

there is a new version available for MusiXone. It contains an alternative homepage with a video hero section instead of a single photo.
You can preview the version with a photo as hero section
And here the version with a video as hero section
A little warning before using it. Videos are immediately getting large, so the loading time can increase. Also the video hero section is not so flexible as the version with the single photo. It needed some additional CSS. Please try to stay with 16:9 videos.
But if you like it, you are welcome to use it. Just download the latest version. Please follow the instructions here, how to do the update.
