With the last two builds, I have been seeing a lot of problems with resources going missing. I spent most of yesterday setting up a new project with tons of resources. Today when I opened the project a lot of them were missing. These were image resources and various SVGs.
This has happened in several other projects as well.
What I’m trying to understand is why this is happening and is it because I’m using an ElementsPak? Although some of the missing resources are not coming from the pak.
I have added all of the missing resources back into the project but now I’m afraid to close it in case some of them go missing again.

Thanks for reporting this and I’m really sorry to hear you’re experiencing missing resources. It could indeed be related to using an Elements Pack, as there have been quite a few recent changes around how resources are stored and referenced inside packs.
I’d definitely recommend keeping an external backup copy of your resources until we get this fixed.
Could you let me know if the resources are missing from the project itself or from the pack?
We haven’t been able to reproduce this yet, so any additional details or steps you’ve noticed that seem to trigger it would be really helpful.
Lastly, would you be able to share the project with us?

@tpbradley Because I needed to publish this site I had to resurrect the missing resources. So I currently don’t have a version of the site I can share that shows the problem. So far I have not seen resource going missing from the pack, only from the resources for the project.
I should clarify that when I say gone missing I don’t mean they are completely gone, but instead that Elements has change the file icon to the warning sign and the resources are missing in the editor.
Now that I have published this site I will quit Elements and see if the problem resurfaces when I re-open it. If it does I will be sure to send over a link to the project.
UPDATE: Closed and opened without problems this time, everything is intact. I’ll keep an eye out for it occurring again and send a link as soon as I see it.
Ok thanks @handshaper, that really helps narrow it down. I’ll have a look through the project saving code and see if anything looks suspicious.
