What is Rapidweaver's publishing problem?

When I try to publish the website, RW tells me “The website address is incorrectly configured” Can’t see anything wrong. Test connection works, with both http and https. Copying and pasting the address into Safari does the right thing. These are the same settings I use with sftp if I publish by hand.

I would enclose a screenshot but apparently that’s not allowed here. Any suggestions on what to check?

I’ve increased your trust rating on the forum, you can now post a screenshot to help us with diagnosing your issue!

In the meantime, ensure your site address is correctly configured here:

Let me know how you get on.

I attached the screenshot. As I mentioned, I successfully tested the connection setting two ways, but Publish won’t work.

If you use a ftp app like transmit, does it allow you to publish? Is there any error you get?

Yes, updating with sftp is no problem.

Also, it’s not typos. Connection information in all cases is copied from a password manager.

I’ve had similar issues with the original Rapidweaver too. Never got to the bottom of them either. Sorry I can’t help, in the end I just gave up and used Cyberduck to transfer everything manually.

Thanks. Please try two things:
Reduce the connection speed to the lowest just to test

Then try again. If this does not help:

Try to use ftps instead of sftp

Are you sure that the URL entered under “server” is the correct one for your hosting provider?

It doesn’t look right to me.

From what I can see, you’re hosting your site with tigertech.net.

Tried both, still the same error message.

I neglected to mention something that might be pertinent: I have several websites in RapidWeaver. This is the only one it has trouble publishing.

Yes, and this setup is according to the directions from Tigertech.

Then you should send an email to support@realmacsoftware.com, ideally with a zipped project file and a link to this forum thread.

I’m sure you’ll get the help you need. @differentdan

I agree that the path looks odd, but it checks out according to TigetTech.net’s support pages:

The RW site has ,com instead of .com

That’s a typo at your end. If you check my OP, the address was multiply validated.
