What is your AI provider of choice when working with Elements?

I’ve got three subscriptions now:

ChatGPT Plus

Claude Pro

Perplexity Pro (got 1 year free from my mobile carrier)

Just curious what people are using now that it seems more and more are discovering they can build custom components and projects with AI quite easily as newer models seem to be getting released a lot faster than before.

I’m using Claude Pro. It doesn’t do graphics or video production. It will give you prompts to use in a graphics Ai. So, I was using Grok for that. But then Claude help me create an Ai Image Generator to run locally which does most of what I need for my website post graphics.

Claude also does much better with writing longer articles or studies, plus CoWork is great because it can access a shared folder and do all kinds of cool stuff. I’ve used it to build 11 custom components so far.

I also have Grok, but won’t be renewing that. I have used ChatGPT before going to Grok.

Claude Pro, I am a writer and it does a great job with that, and logic for building out structure and easily blows the doors off anything else when it pertains to coding. IMO

Perplexity- the choice os the models is good and mostly the references to the sources of its work

Yeah, I do like that Perplexity quotes its sources. I use it a lot when I’m researching something.

LM Studio with various models locally, depending upon what the task is.

Claude Pro when I can’t do something locally (rare).

I like Duck.ai for occasional image generation.

This is great to dip into and find exactly what you want. https://huggingface.co

I still refuse to knowingly use AI.

I just cannot be convinced that by feeding the beast we are doing anything but bringing forward the end of life as we know it.

When I read that back it makes me sound like a complete nut job but I consider myself a pretty normal human being; the earth is round, man did land on the moon (probably) and the Loch Ness monster isn’t real, unlike Bigfoot. But I just cannot get my head around all this reliance on AI and where it will end up. Perhaps I have watched too many movies.

Are you a Hollywood script writer by any chance? :joy: In some respects I agree with your sentiments as if we let AI write everything then how the hell are we going to get to the top of AI SEO? :joy: Remember always be nice to your AI bot and say please and THANKS as when it does take over the world it will remember you as the polite one and leave you alone! :joy::joy:

I’m a Bible teacher and at times I can become apocalyptic, but then I am reminded:

When they invented guns, the knife people thought it was the end of their world as they knew it.

When they invented the backhoe, the shovel people thought it was the end of their world as they knew it.

When they invented records, the musicians thought it was the end of their world as they knew it.

When they invented digital books, the paper people thought it was the end of the world as they knew it.

I could go on… this will not be the end of the world, and we will have to adapt. Mankind will not bring an end to the world. The world will never end, it just keeps changing.

I agree, but then AI is not mankind is it?

I don’t want to sully the forum so will bow out here, got some movie scripts to finish off.

AI is a great tool when used properly, just like any other invented tool that came before it.

It’s the current people in supposed “control” of AI that I don’t really trust..

Been using ChatGPT Plus for over 1 year and recently subscripted to Claude Pro. Haven’t really settled on one LLM to use with Elements.

I’ve only been using Elements for a month converting a Rapidweaver Classic website so haven’t used it with AI yet however I intent to once it’s finished. I’ve used the following with Rapidweaver:

  1. ChatGPT (the free version)
  2. SuperGrok (been subscribed since January)

I only really used them to generate recent news articles in html which I then pasted into Rapidweaver. I found that SuperGrok produced far superior current news articles than Chat GPT hence why I subscribed to it.

Once my Elements website is finished I’m going to experiment with Claude Pro as I haven’t tried it yet.
