I have just renewed my subscription for RW Classic. With all the understandable hype about Elements, what can Classic users look forward to for their ‘upgrades’ money over the coming year? More than bug chasing I hope – perhaps a better blog page or other real feature.
Thank you for supporting us and using RW Classic. We truly appreciate it!
We have some things in the works, the new build will of course include bug fixes, some new theme(s), we’re also working on making sure Classic is compatible with macOS Sequoia when it ships later this year.
What features would you like to see in a Classic update (however big or small)? The more detail you can give the better!
Thanks for the reply. A blog page with better image handling – sizing and positioning. Perhaps a grid base would help with the latter. A way to alternate picture position otherwise. I’ve tried Poster 2, which is very good and a combination of Split and Paragraph Pro, with good effect, on pages but a native page would be easier and quicker.
When will Sequoia be supported, as it is out now…or do I need to wait with updating to the new Mac OS till Classic is ready somewhere at the end of this year??
The latest version of RapidWeaver Classic runs just fine on Sequoia, you can go ahead and upgrade to the new system.
I can verify that
How does RW 8.9.3 work with Sequoia?
Amazingly, it also seems to be working. Kinda shows how little Apple updated macOS this year!
pfff of course YES Apple updated Macos… my magickeyboard no longer allows me to display emojis when I press the “world” key, I have to long press the language icon used on the screen of my iPad… so now repetitive fingerprints hence the need to clean the screen often hence the need for a cloth and special product that does not damage the screen hence the purchases hence… hmm really good salespeople at Apple and boom another fingerprints… too great I tell you their sales people
@dan please consider adding again a link to the RapidWeaver Marketplace to this forum.
+1
@dan the resources for classic keep their value, at least as long as it stays updated and Elements doesn’t have its own addons.
thanks
Agreed, everything still works for Classic and will do for years to come.
We’re linking directly to the Marketplace very prominently and consistently in the app (see screenshot). Not sure it needs link from the Forum as well. We just link to the manuals as this is a place most users come for support.
Having said that I’ll give it some thought!
