Which FTP client do you recommend?

Just Bought Mountain Duck

Now like hard drives in the finder window (very cool)

S3

Dropbox

Websites (dreamhost)

Cloudflare R2

Google Drive

I use column view and have instant access now to all my online systems - don’t have to go to websites or other garbage - just the simple finder window - amazing….

I switched to https://ftpfiles.app . Really nicely integrated into the Finder: an FTP Server is “just a folder” on your Mac .-)

Well not using my new software…

Not really sure why… I have to go to menu and connect the particular cloud drive

Then it works fine…

But often times I need a link and it’s easier in Cloudflare website - drag into safari - click on on it and copy path for that specific website

Why keep attached?

Dropbox - very occasional use - for me
Websites - fetch is fine and 90% elements
Google - back up file - occasional use
Cloudflare - discussed
S3 Vibralogix store files - don’t use much - set forget

So I was enamored with the idea of it - but in reality not using…

Interesting to see how popular this thread actually is — and how many people here are looking for a good file/FTP manager for Mac or are using different alternatives.

Here’s another “Swiss Army knife” file manager that I came across a while ago. Even the free version looks quite powerful, especially considering the huge number of features it offers.

For me personally, though, it feels a bit like “too much”, so I’ll probably stick with Commander One Pro for now.

You could always use FTP or SFTP via the Terminal.

The people that make MAMP just came out with a new FTP/SFTP client called Ferry, there is a free preview available Ferry — A native Mac app for FTP and SFTP. Looks promising, but I’m still testing.
