Ik ben een classic user en heb o.a. een page met links naar youtube video. zie: Mission360 , ik heb nu al een hoop video’s bekeken maar zie nog steeds niet hoe ik dit kan doen, behalve als een plaatje met een link, iemand?

I am al Classic user and one of my pages is used to link to my youtube video. see Mission360 . How can i do this within element, besides a link on a image?

Building a YouTube video page in RapidWeaver Elements is not only possible – it’s gloriously easy compared to the old-school way! Here’s how you can add actual YouTube videos (not just linked images):

1. Use the Built-in Video Component:

  • Drag the Video component onto your page.
  • In the inspector, simply drag-and-drop the YouTube video URL from your browser straight into the Resource Dropwell.

2. You Can Add Multiple Videos:

  • Just add as many Video components as you like—line them up however you want (grid, columns, etc.).

3. Customize:

  • Each Video component has settings for autoplay, looping, hiding controls, and more.

Why it’s Better than Image+Link

  • Looks and feels like a real embedded video (no more clunky screenshots or manual links).
  • All the modern usability stuff: mobile responsive, fast, and styled by your theme.
  • If you update your content in Elements, everything stays neat and organized!

Bonus:
You can also embed YouTube playlists using the same drag-and-drop method with playlist URLs. Elements takes care of the embedding and responsiveness for you.

If you want your page to look like a beautiful YouTube gallery (with thumbnails, titles, etc), you can combine the Video component with columns, or use Containers for layout. No code needed!

Thanks for your reply, but you still can’t edit the thumbnail size. I went with a picture and than a link to youtube (more or less the same as the classic stack) Perhaps in the future??

Hoi Walter,

Even om misverstanden te voorkomen:

  • je wil een pagina met links naar Youtube-filmpjes
  • iedere link op die pagina moet in de vorm van een plaatje (“thumbnail” in jargon) zijn. De gebruiker klikt op het plaatje, verlaat jouw pagina en komt terecht op de Youtube-pagina van het betreffende filmpje terecht
  • je vraagt nu of de grootte van die plaatjes ()thumbnails) bewerkt kan worden.

Klopt dat?
