B29 Problems in the Property Inspector

I’m running into a lot of problems with b29 and the property inspector, where when I go to inspect a property for a component it will display all of the options, even with NONE selected. This can make it very hard to change a value as you first have to jump around inside the inspector until it fixes itself, only then will it allow selected values to be applied.

This shows an example where I wanted to go and apply some rounded corners to a container. On expanding the property all possibly combinations are visible even though NONE is selected.

It then takes some work to get things back on track, normally by selecting different options until the property fixes itself.

When the property editor gets in this state expanding any property with multiple options will also display all of them.

The only possible cause I can suggest is this always seems to happen after messing around with globals. But that might just be coincidence.

Yikes (sorry about that), have you got a project that this issue is easily reproducible on?

If we could get the project and a rough idea how to reproduce it that would be awesome — It will make fixing the issue much quicker!

I’ll try to see if I can reporduce it, but I think it was random.

I also ran into a problem where occasionally when I was in the inline text editor I could not get “out” of it. Didn’t matter where I clicked it would stay stuck in the property inspector. The only way to “fix” it was to switch pages. Happened on numerous occasions but I could not discern a pattern, other than it always seemed to happen when I was working with globals.

I have seen this as well, several times. When I tried to reproduce it, never could. Happens randomly
