The important information first! We’re aiming to ship a build of Elements with AI integration later this month. This will include bring your own API keys and full MCP support. These same AI features will be available across our Base, Plus, and Pro plans at no extra cost.
We have some preliminary Elements AI Documentation that is worth reading to learn more about how the API keys and MCP are setup.

Elements AI can now build and refine custom components. Describe what you need, and Elements AI can create it for you, opening up an almost limitless range of possibilities for your website. Not only will it create the component you need for the page, but it can also generate the native Element controls you need to edit the settings.

Custom AI Components Video Overview:
- Flexible Integration: Users can utilize AI in two ways: through an MCP server that connects to existing apps like ChatGPT or Claude (1:17-1:36), or via a built-in AI assistant that requires your own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys (2:00-2:36).
- Vibe Coding Components: The AI can generate code for custom components (like a cursor-following inverter or 3D objects) and even create inspector controls so users can adjust settings without writing code themselves (4:05-4:53, 10:34-11:08).
- Iterative Refinement: If a component doesn’t work perfectly on the first try, users can prompt the AI to fix specific glitches or add new functionality, such as toggles or visual changes, directly within the editor (7:33-9:33).
- AI Wiki: A project-specific context tool that allows the AI to “remember” design preferences, brand tone, and site colors for future reference (15:38-16:53).
Elements AI is designed to act as an assistant rather than replacing the user’s creative control, and it will be released in a beta state to gather user feedback (14:52-15:10, 17:15-17:34).
We’re incredibly excited about what this will unlock for our customers. Instead of waiting for us to add a particular component or feature, you’ll increasingly be able to just ask Elements to build exactly what you need.
And remember, if you’re not interested in AI, or you don’t want to build it yourself, you’ll still be able to buy a whole range of polished and supported components from the Elements Store.
