It’s just a small update for the weekend that fixes Tailwind scoping in Markdown, and Theme Studio quotes.

What’s New in Elements 3.0.12 Beta?
Tailwind: Utility selector classes no longer leak into Markdown content.
Theme Studio: CMS blockquotes now use the intended Quote styles instead of being overridden by Paragraph rules.
How to Update to the Beta
While we believe the betas of Elements 3 are very stable, however, we don’t recommend using it on live, mission-critical websites. The Tailwind 4 framework touches most parts of the app, including how webpages render, so please check your sites for layout issues or changes before re-publishing.
To install the beta, launch your current build of Elements and go to Settings/Preferences. Under the Updates section, enable beta updates.
Once beta updates are enabled, go to the Elements menu and select “Check for Updates…”.
Pasting links - again. One step forward and one step back. 3.0.11 and 3.0.12 both allow direct pasting of links from a Classic text component to an Elements text component. The only problem now is that layout is no longer preserved. When I paste a paragraph of text with links each word is on a separate line. Do Classic and Elements interpret layout marks differently?
Another issue; if I’m editing text in Classic I can check a link by right clicking and selecting Open Link. This doesn’t seem to be available in Elements. Could it be introduced?
We can’t reproduce the copy-paste / new-lines problem at this time.
Can you use Help → Upload to Support in Elements and attach the Classic document? Ideally make a copy of the Classic project, remove all the other pages and leave only the page that’s causing the problem, then upload that. Can you also let me know which page or item you’re trying to copy from?
Apologies for the delay in replying; I’ve had a busy few days. Now I’ve had another look at copy-paste I realise with some embarrassment what I did wrong. Without thinking about it I had copied text from the display mode in Classic rather than the edit mode. Copying from the edit mode works perfectly well.
Having said that can I raise again the request for an option to open links in Elements during editing by right clicking, as the alternative seems to be either checking links in the live website or saving the site locally? Or am I missing something?
