Hi,
Like so many here I am a longtime user of RW. Had bought Stacks, Foundry and ALLoY and maintain some 5 sites.
Foundry and ALLOY just closed shop, as all know.
I think any new venture, should include some type of dinamic content managment, like ALLOY offered.
WOuld be nice if it where backed into ELEMENTS and not have the complexity of maintaining a full stack WORDPRESS server.
I look at your videos, as always your software is nicely crafted, but some cristall got shattered and to join you in a niche product (again) one would have to be sure that ELEMENTS is here to stay. But you/we all must know that all.
I, this week started to move my site to a new CPU, aws… Amazon Linux 2 is deprecated… had to switch to AL2023… Now… I have my 5 sites with RW and ALLOY and cannot even see the manuals of ALLOY anymore.
Well… many must have theses problems nowadays.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I completely understand your concerns—when a well-known tool like Foundry is no longer available… it can feel like the ground has shifted beneath you. Not great.
However, our goal with Elements is to provide a rock-solid foundation that’s here for the long run. We know that stability and longevity is key, and we’re fully committed to making sure Elements evolves, improves, and remains a reliable solution for many, many years to come!
We’ve built Elements to be modular, flexible, and future-proof, so it can grow with user needs while avoiding unnecessary complexity—especially compared to something like WordPress.
We know Elements needs a lightweight, integrated CMS solution, and while we don’t have a replacement for Alloy just yet, we’re actively exploring ways to integrate this into Elements.
Thanks again for your feedback, it really does help shape the future of Elements. We’re in this for the long haul, and we’re excited to keep building something great together!
Cheers,
Dan
