Contact form only works for spammers

Hey @Fuellemann Welcome to Elements, and nice to see you back on the forums

Yes, Recaptcha is completely optional although we don’t have a honeypot built-in as I think most spam-bots get around these now. I can get @ben to investigate this further, do you know of one that reliably works?

Anyway, have fun exploring Elements, we’ve built in so many awesome features, it’s already lightyears ahead of Classic and getting better every week!

Hi @dan, happy to be here. I have looked from Blocs to Sitely to Foundation and I love Elements, so I will stick here

Regarding the topic at hand: I have made some very good experience for my customers using HoneyPot, so - yes - please include this. Nothing is 100%, but I really do not want to add a consent permission from the website visitors just for using ReCaptcha.

That’s awesome to hear, thank you!

No problem, I’ll get @ben to take a look at this when he’s back next week!

good choice, good choice

I’ve added support for more spam protection services to the Form - you’ll be able to choose from recaptcha, hcaptcha, turnstile, and honeypots.

That update should be included in the next build

And just like magic, that new build is now available :magic_wand: Elements 1.0.9 (23745 )

The new build 1.0.9 now has support for a classic style Honeypots :honey_pot:

Let us know how you get on with it!
