Continuous crashes with RW 9.2.1

I am posting a problem here in the forum (that has been going on for over a year) that I have already shared with Dan using the technical support form. Unfortunately Dan was unable to replicate the problem with the files sent to him (Project and Add-On) but I continue to have continuous crashes. In practice when I start RW I see nothing on the pages of my site (www.mbernardi.it) and after a few seconds it crashes making any action impossible and forcing a forced exit. At the follow

link a short clip of what happens to me (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StrZZiMnA60). My iMac is the latest generation of Intel, with lots of RAM and updated to the latest version of Sequoia. Also Stacks plugin is the latest. RW is stuck at 9.2.1; I do not want to do an upgrade that would require paying for another year because the same thing happened a year ago, when I paid to upgrade to version 9.2.1 hoping for a resolution but without success. Dan suspects that the problem is in my iMac but installing (and activating) RW on a second (less recent but compatible) mac the same thing happens; obviously I also had to transport the project file in this one. So I suspect that RW somehow corrupts my project files and this causes the crash. The crash also occurs after many attempts to start RW and the only possibility of a seemingly normal start is to reboot the mac. Also here usually the first one-two attempts fail but usually the third one works. So I am forced to never exit the application if I want to do a long-lasting update of my site, because if I do it then it will not restart and reboot. I don’t know if anyone on the forum has had a similar experience before and my hope is that someone can come up with some ideas. I also did an antivirus scan but there are no elements that can explain such behavior. Thanks for your attention.

I’m guessing you’ve been working with @dang on this issue?

Unfortunately, this is probably a Stacks plugin issue that is causing RapidWeaver to hang/crash.

Does RapidWeaver Prompt you to submit a crash report? And if so, have you done that?

Let me know and we’ll take a deeper dive into it.

Oops, are there two Dan?
I have had email contacts with Dan G.

Yes I have sent once a crah report.
My Stacks plugin is the latest version 5.3.3
Can I deactivate it and install a previous one?
Bedt regards

Yes, it’s a little confusing!

Can you post a crash report here, or send one over so I can take a look?

Thanks Dan (C.),

Now I’m working on RW and, as I said, can’t quit it or I will to reboot my iMac. The strange also is that after reboot the first time RW crashes and the 2nd runs (!).

As soon as I can I try to reply to your request but: how can I find the report? It seems that now I have not the crash report window anymore. Maybe the first time. Is there a log somewhere?

Thanks again

Massimo

Of the crash reporter doesn’tautomatically prompt you when RapidWeaver launches, you can manually send it over. Details on how to do that included in the link below:

OK, the console does not show any file related to RW (I think).

So I sent you the last log of the list. Than, into the diagnostic report folder in found some RapidWeaver files and I sent one of these.

Check your support@realmacsoftware.com

Thanks we have that. I also found your project from the conversation you had with @dang — we’re looking into the issue now and will get back to you via email.
