Dev Dairy 91 - Rebuilding a Classic Website Project

Hey All,

We’re busy working on the next Elements update… so in the meantime this DevDiary video is a live re-build of an existing Classic website. If you’ve been using Elements for a while, this video might be too basic for you. However, if you’re new to Elements, this dev diary is well worth watching!

And before anyone asks, no the CMS is not ready just yet, but yes, we are working on it. Stay tuned for more news soon…

Move to Elements Today

Now that Elements has hit the v1 milestone, now is a great time to jump in and start building your next website. Visit elementsapp.io to pick up your copy today.

Try the Elements Demo

The new trial mode in Elements lets you explore the full app and build up to three pages, giving you a feel for the design workflow and features. While export and publishing are disabled in the trial, everything else is fully functional, so you can see exactly how Elements works before committing.

It’s the best way to experience the speed and simplicity of a modern website builder. You can now Download Elements with the new trial mode.

:speech_balloon: Thanks for Your Feedback

The Elements app evolves directly from your suggestions, and as always, we’d love to hear what you think so far. Your feedback truly makes all the difference

Thanks again!

See you soon,
Dan @ Team Realmac

Haha, I will happily do some more videos on these types of things

I don’t know if the CMS is perfectly suited for a store… would probably depend on how many products/items it had

A really good demo for beginners/transitioners and people who think they know it all, but were wrong

Well how do you know if you want let us have it!:rofl::rofl: Perhaps you could do my side and show how CMS can not be used for my shop but then show me the things that can!:rofl: Well it was worth a try!:rofl:

So yesterday how to convert a classic to Elements site here. Today on the other forum how to convert RW to Stacks 6, tomorrow how to convert Elements to Stacks 6?:rofl::rofl:

Oh, that should be fun, last I heard Stacks App was missing a few features. Good luck to 'em I say!

Edit: Oh, I found the link you were talking about! Planning Your Next Move: RW, Stacks 6 & Foundation. Funnily enough, Joe probably won’t be comparing Stacks App to Elements

UPDATE: I was wrong, Joe did mention Elements!

Very useful, thanks!
