In this week’s Dev Diary, we take a closer look at the new Resources and Templates features, both landing in the next build of Elements. :blush:

If you’ve caught our earlier videos on these, some of it may be familiar, but this one dives deeper into how everything works and fits together.

These powerful additions will make building websites even faster, and they open up exciting new opportunities for anyone interested in creating and selling their own packs on the upcoming Elements Marketplace.

Build 0.9.8 of Elements will be available later today (…or tomorrow, if we hit any last minute snags :grimacing:).

I think you are constantly underplaying the role of packs and templates in the learning of Elements. These a great resources to learn how things are put together to build a great website. Keep it up!

Quick question: is it possible to use an .svg file as a background image in Elements?

Just wondering if this is supported or if it’s blocked by the web engine for any reason (e.g. performance, compatibility, or rendering issues).
Would love to know what’s technically allowed or recommended here—SVGs can be a great option for lightweight, scalable visuals.

I only have one query. Can I make a fixed Background for my page into a separate stand alone template? I might be missing the point here, but I will soon find out.

Well, I’ve noticed that @dan voted for new build today, so I’m sitting here waiting very hopefully. :slight_smile: It’s still early in the evening here in Norway, and I’m not giving up hope… :rofl:
