Elements 1.0 (23688)

Hello again,

After many, many years of hard work, testing, and community feedback, Elements is now officially a 1.0 product, ready for real-world projects :tada:

You can now choose to try it for free with the new trial mode, or purchase a license to unlock the full experience.

While reaching 1.0 is a big milestone, we know our work is far from done. We’re continuing to ship weekly updates with improvements, fixes, and new features, many of which are based on your feedback.

We know some of you are thinking, “Yeah, but what about that missing feature or unfixed bug?” And that’s totally fair. But remember: 1.0 is just a number.

In software, 1.0 doesn’t mean “finished”, it simply marks the point where the product is stable, useful, and ready for a wider audience. It’s a milestone, not a finish line. The truth is, great software is never really done. It evolves through constant feedback, iteration, and improvement. With Elements, reaching 1.0 means we’re confident in the foundation!

We’re already hard at work on 1.0.1, which ships later this week, and 1.0.2 soon after… Just because we’ve hit 1.0 doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. If anything, we’re more focused than ever.

Elements will keep evolving, and we’re committed to making it the best, most enjoyable way to build for the modern web. Your feedback continues to shape the future of Elements, there’s plenty of exciting things just around the corner :star_struck: :tada:

A huge thank you to everyone here for helping us get this far. Your support, feedback, and love for the product have meant the world to us — and honestly, it’s what’s kept us going.

We can’t wait to show you what’s next

Much love,
Team Elements

After a few minutes of trying out Elements 1.0, must say I like it.

I’ve been contemplating of upgrading from Classic. But the subscription cost of Plus puts me off. And the fact that I can only use it to make my own website.

Pro plan is rather expensive for me, a casual web designer, who sometimes create websites for clients (with Classic).

I have been trying out other web design software. I found the terms of use more acceptable. Good pricing and no subscription. No restrictions to how many clients I make websites for.

I value your efforts and would like to support Realmac Software.

Make Elements more cost friendly and better terms of use. I am sure many will move from Classic to Elements in no time.

Me inclusive.

Congrats guys, well done!

Just one minor glitch, looks like in components inspector expanding all is not working. In Node Browser it works as expected.

The same is true for me @samsiu

Webdesign isn’t my core business (I’m more of a consultant for small businessess and freelance enterprise consultant) but websites are occasionally part of the package that a client needs.

Most of my clients have been with me for a while, and all their websites were built and are maintained in Classic. The occasional (new) client that needs a new website (at the moment) doesn’t warrant the purchase of a Pro license for me yet either.

I chose to go with Plus instead, so I can at least play around with Elements and keep up with the changes should Classic ever be discontinued. If the need arises, I can always switch to a Pro license is my idea.

Cheers,
Erwin

Good stuff  In last week’s Dev Diary video, you told us an update regarding the cost would come later that week. We are in the middle of the week after. Any news on this one? Really curious about the CMS and how it’s going.

Hmmm, I don’t remember mentioning pricing changes :grimacing: Do you have a time-stamp in the video so I can find out what exactly what I said?

CMS is going very well, Ben will have an update on it later this week. Stay tuned for that!

Congratulations for reaching that important milestone

But it feels a little unspectacular and I would have expected a little more drum roll. Although you are right, 1.00 is followed by 1.01, 1.02 …

the big party will be when the first CMS is ready ^^

… no pressure

Congrats on v1.0, @dan and co!

Haha, well I blame the proofreading function in the forum AI for that  It said CMS before it changed it to cost

Agreed. Where is the “IT’S HERE!!! Come and get it!” announcement?

Congratulations to the whole team!

No time for that, we’ve just shipped 1.0.1, and are busy working on 1.0.2

But seriously though, we will be making a bigger splash, we just have a few more things to get lined up first :clinking_beer_mugs:
