Hey Dan,

Just diving into Elements; I’m a long time Rapidweaver user who is migrating my sites and client sites to Elements.

Love the pace of your development and the rich feature set you and your team are implementing. Very exciting!

Kind regards,
Mark

Nice feature, I’ll wait for updating again to the Beta version when the editor preview is fixed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Can you provide some more details on what’s not working for you in 2.0 so we can fix it!

EDIT: Never mind, I found the thread  A list of components and a super simple sample doc would still be very helpful.

You read our minds. I was thinking about this feature last Friday, and was convinced, one can do that already. And now, boom, you delivered. I just love Elements! Thank you and your team!

 :folded_hands: This saves us a lot of time, thanks

If I move from Rapidweaver to Elements will my remaining subscription be credited to my account and will my plugins work with elements or do I have to start over from scratch

Regards Dean

Hi @Dan,

I just sended an email via WeTransfer (because of the size restrictions) with my project, 1.6.3 screens and 2 Beta 6 screens.

Greetings,

Mike

Perfect, got them!

I have two issues with the current version 2 beta 6

  1. I cannot get the Local Network Preview feature to work. I have followed the troubleshooting guide as well as restarting my Mac, iPhone and the Elements server. I get the message Safari can’t open the page because it couldn’t connect to the server.
  2. In the custom themes, if I change the brand color for instance, save and close elements. When I reopen the app the color has reverted to the original color. (It seems none of the changes to the custom theme I have are saving when closed. )

Thanks,
Steve J.

Hi @dan

Nice update!

I’m still experiencing a light / dark mode issue with the Image Component as described in my thread here: Image component: Light / Dark bug?

(Basically, the image assigned to dark mode is showing in light mode when previewed in browsers).

Thanks!

Dan, I’m seeing the following error when trying to update the Beta to v6 from v3:

Elements is a separate subscription, and unfortunately, we can’t apply credited time from your current Classic subscription. Any plugins or stacks you’ve installed in Classic won’t carry over to Elements, but that gives you a fantastic opportunity to start fresh and give your Classic site(s) a modern, streamlined makeover

Do let us know if you need any help moving over to Elements!

Hi @miketee

I’ve tested the dark/light mode support in the Image component, but everything is working as expected in my test project.

Could you share your test project with me so I can try and replicate the issue here?

@MikeSA Hi Mike, could you try rebooting and installing the update again? If that still doesn’t work you can download beta 6 using this link Elements v2.0.0 Beta 6

Hi @jenkman

Could you check your Mac firewall settings in case it’s blocking Elements server. Also, do you have any other software installed like Little Snitch that might be blocking connections?

When you save, are you by any chance using the File → Save menu item or pressing Cmd + S? This will only save the project file and not the theme settings. There’s a separate “Save Theme” button in the top right corner of the Theme Settings window for saving to the dev pack.

Cheers

Hi Dan,

I’m baffled, when I download from your website the I get version 1.6.3. How do I get to the download of this mysterious version 2 Beta 6 with all the attractive bells and whistles?

Please unbaffle me an point me to the right direction.

I am a registered user of Elements btw.

Thanks a million mate…

Hi @Dutch

Do the above in Elements settings and then you should get the Beta updates.

Let us know if you have any troubles with it.

I turned off the firewall and I still cannot connect my iPhone to my Mac. I do not have any other third party sw running. The firewall does have the allow installed apps to allow incoming connections. Also, if I click the preview in browser button in Elements, the ip address is different than the server ip address shown in the advanced panel in project settings.

Thanks for the save theme info. That worked.
