Elements and Ecwid integration

Hi,

I am interested in purchasing Element, but i am using ecwid e-store. How can I integrate my shop into Element’s website?

Thanks.

Aloha David,

It is actually trivial to do this @dan helped me create a custom component from the typical Ecwid product code snippet for a Buy Now button. You would use this component wherever you were setting up an Ecwid product. It takes a store ID and a Product ID, and Ecwid handles everything from there.

Bear in mind this is not used to create a full Ecwid store on your site this would only be used to create Buy Now buttons. For me this is the most useful option as it then allows me to use all the features of Elements to create a nice product display.

I was going to use this on three of my sites that had already been setup with Ecwid. But I then opted to move to Cartloom as it was even easier and they are built on the same foundation as Elements. This was even easier than Ecwid and cheaper.

If you are interested I can send you the code for the Ecwid Product component so you can try it for yourself.

It will probably be just as easy to create a custom component for the full store if that is what you needed, you would just need the appropriate code snippet from Ecwid.

Hi @dtracing,

Here you can read which code you need to paste inside your Elements page (using an HTML component) to get Ecwid on your site’s pages:

https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004678945-Ecwid-for-any-website#-adding-ecwid-to-a-custom-built-website

I’m sure that there soon will be ready-made components to add to Elements too.

Cheers,
Erwin
