Getting YouTube to Play

I have a site that provides a lot of videos I have a short video that plays fine but I am unable to get the videos to play on YouTube as I am unable to add the link. I have added it to the advanced area and YouTube plays a TV Glitch of scrambled junk ending with a host of options that will play on you tube but none that I want I have set all the videos up with their thumbnails and svg play button. I have tried to follow the bots advice and manage to get a link by right clicking on the resource I add the link and the popup says continue which when clicked promptly disappears into the great unknown. what has happened to the simple add link areas?
I have used (The Team)from the templates as the basis of the video set up.

This is it working using stacks and Joes video wall Videos of Christian Evangelism in Plymouth UK
I have also followed the bots advice ,added a video and dragged the YouTube link to it previewed it and the same YouTube TV Glitch plays.

Can you share your project via Elements Cloud and we’ll take a look and find out what’s going on!

The file is to large to upload how can I resize it

Yikes! How big is the Elements Project?

Here is a link to the YouTube video https://youtu.be/f9q919GWRxA

Add the video drag this into the drop zone enable the Lightbox and ensure that lightbox-1 is added as the id then view and play, all I get is the tv Glitch. If I don’t add the Lightbox the glitch plays in the video.

In addition I am trying to upload a mock up of what I am doing. (test for the cloud)

Have a look at he dev diary here and scroll forward to how to add a video and see if your doing it this way Dev Dairy 91 - Rebuilding a Classic Website Project. This might help?

YT uses two domains for accessing videos and I know that the “youtu.be” domain (as used in your sample) has caused problems in elements in the past. The other domain, using your sample video, would look like this …

www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9q919GWRxA

I don’t know if this is relevant to your issue but it might be worth trying the alternative when adding the remote resource to your resource panel.

I tried adding remote resource links to the resource panel of one of my test sites using both YT domains with the following results:

The first uses the “youtu.be” domain and the second uses the “www.youtube.com” alternative.

Note the different icon/thumbnail!

I Got it now I was going to my YouTube Chanel and dragging the link. I needed to play the video on YouTube and drag the url link all works amazing, strange though why copyrighted ones only play on YouTube when the copyright is in the public domain, ie a hymn. But thank you guys for your amazing help.
