meta description tag

Hi, I’m designing my website and a problem has arisen:

In the inspector in the Meta Tags tab, Description. When I put words with accents, when looking at the source code of the page, I see that those words are modified by having accents and instead put other characters to the word.

To fix it I have deleted the description content and I have put it in the inspector in the HTML Code tab, in Head and thus I can not change the accented words.

Is this correct and works equally?

Hello, it sounds like your accent char (not sure which char you mean by that) is being interpreted as html. Instead of your accent character use the html version.
