I have been using RapidWeaver since 2009, along with Stuart’s Source, but I am a bit confused about how to learn Markdown, as it applies to Elements. I love using Joe Workman’s CMS; the plain, straightforward, and powerful editor he has developed is fantastic.
I was wondering if a developer could create a translator that mimics the way Joe Workman’s CMS operates. This tool could convert a “word-processor-like appearance” into Markdown within Elements. It could either be included within Elements or offered as a separate purchase. At my age of over 70, I find it challenging to keep learning new coding techniques. Aside from the CMS and Markdown issues, I find Elements easier to understand and use compared to RapidWeaver when I first started. Overall, I am very pleased with it.
You will find CMS is in Beta, there is only a few things turned on, theres lots more to come and next year there will hopefully be an online App to do things like JW does. Elements is new JW is in third iteration and still has problems so sadly if you watch @ben videoes this will be explained. I am old too but with age comes great patience so be patient Padwan it will arrive! Have a great weekend!
As I await the delivery of CMS Elements, I can still utilize the Classic CMS for managing images. I am using Classic alongside Joe Workman’s CMS to create a system that allows clients to add or change their graphics. Additionally, I have configured Elements with remote addressing that points to the Classic folder designated for receiving the images. Everything works flawlessly. The only additional step is to rename the image you want to change. I’m now thinking outside of the box towards text options.
