Publishing issues

Dear Element users out there. Can´t publish my new site on one.com. The test was ok..the publishing was ok..but the site does´nt appear at all. Maybe other has experienced that problem. Thankful for help. //Peter

Can you share the URL to your site

https://www.cyroscope.com..it´s not showing at all. Due to Transmit all files are in place..due to the host (file manager) the files are missing. I uploaded my files FTP-wise but they’re demanding STFP-proctocol and it seems not work with the host (no contact) Thanx for repos. //Peter

im with one.com and not having any problems…have yo reached to to their online chat…normally very good at sorting problems

my settings are SFTP

And domain is SSH.my domain

Since it seems impossible publishing my new site on one.com via Elements build in publisher maybe there´s a way of publishing the site manually via one.com file manager..i would be very thankful for help. //Peter

Hi @Cyroscope

Since you said testing and publishing worked, I would imagine you are publishing your site to the wrong folder at your web host.

Clear the PATH field completely in RapidWeaver’s publishing settings, then click the “Browse” button next to that Path field.

Please post a screenshot of the folders you see listed there in that pop-up window so we can check.

Thank you for taking your time! I really appriciate that! Anyway..It´s about Elements!

Hi @Cyroscope

Thanks for the screenshots but those aren’t what I’m needing.

Please follow the instructions exactly:

Clear the PATH field completely in RapidWeaver’s publishing settings, then click the “Browse” button next to that Path field.

Please post a screenshot of the folders you see listed there in that pop-up window so we can check.

I need to see the pop-up window you are seeing after you click the Browse button.

Select that cyroscope.com folder and then republish your site there.

im a one.com customer and I dont have to click that path selection..mine is just blank and it publishes fine.

I believe files are being published to the wrong location on his account, that is what I’m trying to troubleshoot and correct.

I have 2 one, com domains and neither have a folder that has the domain name like that folder you show here. I did have trouble a year ago when one of my domains was put on a different server and then it need a path but didnt bear any resemblance to the domain name…if I go to the hosting bit on my domain it tell the person what all the relevant info is

Indeed, his web hosting control panel should tell him the correct path where his website cyroscope.com should be uploaded/published to. It would be good to confirm there.

Based on the posted screenshot, cyroscope.com exists as a folder in that SFTP user’s home directory. As such I’d like to test publishing to that folder to see if that’s that correct path since I can’t see into his web hosting control panel..

if you wanna log into mine I can private message you the info to get in

I appreciate the offer, but account settings can vary per customer, even on the same web host, so I think it’s best to try and troubleshoot @Cyroscope’s account specifically.

yeah I know but you might get an idea where to look

It’d probably be best for @Cyroscope to hop on live chat with one.com and ask them what is the correct path (upload folder) for his cyroscope.com website, and then make sure that SFTP user is uploading to that correct path (upload folder).

The screenshot that was posted makes it seem like his website is not getting published to the correct folder.
