Publishing my content to my provider Strato

Hi, to whom it may concern,
I am Peter, a former Classic user, but back again. I have a serious problem now. I cannot publish my site to Strato, so that I can find my site on internet. I already contacted Strato and they did a great job to help me, but still my site: www.pentekst.nl does not exist.
What is going on? This is the first time I have this problem.
Who can help me?

Hi Peter, welcome to the Community;-)
I checked your web and one! page is uploaded - ClassicTheme > Cameo and updated 2025.
Where is your issue…??
Best
Roger

Hi Roger,
Thanks for answering me and your welcome.

I solved the problem, directly after I contacted the Community.
How?

I started a new project .
Step by step I am publishing now the content to Strato.

You’ve seen the result: the first page is there.
I can now immediately see what is wrong.
Nothing is wrong until now.

I’am glad.

Thanks for your interest.
Have a nice weekend,
Peter

…then there is nothing left for me to do, but wish you many visitors to the website and much success and joy in your work;-)

Thanks a lot and also for your Rapid (Weaver) Reaction.

Hi Roger,

If somebody sends me a mail using button SUBMIT or Contact Me I do not recieve a mail.
What’s wrong?

Hi Peter,

the problems with the (contact) Forms functionality are being looked into (and addressed) by the people at Rapidweaver. Check out " Elements Form, missing resources" on this forum, as an example.
Lots of tips, who knows some might help you (too) ?
I did not try the Elements-Form at Strato, but with another (part of the same German) provider: Ionos. So far I did not get it to work, but YMMV.

Bart-Jan.

Hi Peter, as far as I see - your website has grown;-) Fine!
To know more about your issue - lets see!
I do not - or not longer have the Cameo-Theme, but I think, the form has no bugs and will work…
When I check the SourceCode it look fine for me. Your side is index.php, what is also correct.

So how are your settings for the form? Pls place us a screenshot here! The adress from the »STRATO email outgoing mail server«?
And another possibility are restrictions/settings from STRATO. (german - but shure strato dot nl has the same)

Perhaps this will help us proceed.
Best.

Hi Roger,

Thanks for your fast reaction.

I made a screenshot I hope it is what you were asking for.
Maybe I have to change smtp.strato.com in: smtp.strato.de?

Kind regards
Peter

Hi Peter,
no, not these settings - we need yours from the Page Inspector in RW - similar like this:

As I wrote, I don’t find the CAMEO-Theme on my backup - don’t know from whom it was… It might be @HenkVrieselaar , a brilliant developer - but he isn’t since 2017 in this forum any more.
That reminds me, not all of the old themes had a contact form. Was this a part of Cameo, or did you integrate it via a snippet?

Best.

Hi Roger ,

I think you’re right, I had at that time e-mail contact with him.
Yes, the contact form was part of the theme and it worked without any problem .
A moment i am looking for the page

Hi Roger,

It was Henk Vrieselaar.
I had e-mail contact with him.
IN Cameo was a contact form and it worked, never had a problem.

Is this the one you need?

Sincerely,

Peter Kortz

I’ve been thinking about it some more.
The image from Pageinspector is fine, but where do you enter the specific server data? Your email address, possibly your password, and the SMTP information…?
And which PHP version does your domain run on at STRATO? STRATO currently uses 8.1 to 8.4…
CAMEO may no longer be compatible with this, as the theme has not been updated since 2017.
Are you getting an error message?
Which RW version are you using?
Do you have a more recent RW theme with a contact form that you can use for testing? I checked mine and found VOYAGER.
It is also very important that your stored email address is the same as your domain (e.g., info@pentekst.nl), i.e., not @gmail.com, etc.

Best.

Hi Peter,

@Roger this is just the standard RapidWeaver contact form - the tech behind it is separate from which theme is used. So even is the theme isn’t supported any longer, the contact form should continue to work.

Cheers/groet,
Erwin

Hi Erwin,

Peter Kortz

Hi Roger and Erwin,

Together with you both I was able to find a way out of this issue.
The probleem was not Rapid Weaver nor the theme I have chosen, made by Henk Vrieselaar.
It was Strato.
The information I received was false.

I experiences suddenly another problem: I could not use my apple mail app anymore!!
I didn’t changes anything.
Together with my provider Ziggo is also that little problem solved.

Thank you both for your help, because the answers you both send me, put me on the right way where I could find the solution.
I Hope my English is good enough to make clear what is in my mind.

Have a good day en keep weaving.
Kind regards (my English teacher told me to say so, maybe of old times?)

Peter Kortz

Hi Peter,

Glad you got it resolved!

Kind regards (yup, that’s still correct use of the English language, if a bit formal :)),

Erwin

Ok Roger,
I am glad too.

So,
Best,
Peter
