RapidWeaver Elements Pricing Update

There’s certainly a lot of content there now… we’ve been publishing multiple videos per week, probably over 100 in the past year

We wanted to, but RapidWeaver still carries strong brand recognition, and “Elements” on its own is pretty generic. There was also the risk of bumping into other products using similar naming. So officially it’s “RapidWeaver Elements”, though most people, including us, just call it Elements.

The Base license will place a small Built with Elements badge in the corner of your site. More details here.

Yes of course, sounds like the plus version would suit you perfectly!

An active Pro license is only required for users who sell websites to third-party clients, i.e. freelancers, agencies, or anyone building websites as part of their business.

In short, get the Plus license (this is the one we recommend for most users).

A proper comparison table isn’t available yet, but it’s something we plan to put together. Elements is already very capable and growing fast. If you can build it in Blocs, you’ll be able to build it in Elements, and in many cases the process is simpler and more flexible out of the box.

Give the trial a go and see how it feels. If anything comes up, start a new thread and we’ll help you get sorted :slightly_smiling_face:

Cheers!

Thanks. i did purchased the Plus version, but to my surprise there is just very little elements build it. In comparison with Blocs where many elements are build in, the Elements Pack where the same elements are priced is really high in comparison with what you get with Blocs. ( Its more expansive then the app, ugh or am I missing something, will this be exapnded with more or this is it? Anyway, is there EU pricing like for the App? I can only see USD. If i will be purchasing this, I would like to add my VAT.

I assume in my learning curve I can copy /paste elements from free templates to learn how these works before purchasing. Its amazing package, a lot of work went in there for sure, Just a bit dissaponted that some of these did not made ot to the Plus package.

Elements includes the core components that everyone needs. We put the work into making them solid, flexible, and customisable, and because they are low-level you can build pretty much anything with them.

We also include a set of Core Templates. These are built entirely from the Core Components and give you ready-made layouts to start from.

In practice, Elements can do more than Blocs right out of the box without requiring any extra purchases.

Watch the Getting Started Videos to get a feel for how it all works. If you want to build something specific, ask here and I can guide you through the best approach.

The Essential Templates Pack on the store is created using the same Core Components that ship with the app. You do not need to buy it in order to build full sites. Everything in that pack can be recreated with the components that come included.

Absolutely.

I’ve also put together a quick video showing how fast you can build a complete site in Elements:

Once you get into the Elements workflow, I think you will be very happy you made the switch.

If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Hi @meonmac
there is by the way another library beside the Essentials library available. It is not on the new marketplace but on the old one.

You can have a look here fleXon. Probably you find the price more reasonable. The price is indicated in US$ but you are getting charged in the same value in your local currency.

And @dan is absolutely right. Elements can do out of the box so much more than Blocs. Don’t count the pure amount of components! That is misleading. The Elements Components are so flexible, it’s amazing. I know both, Blocs and Elements, so I know what I am talking about. Give it a try it has some learning curve, but when you are used to it, it’s incredible.

Well, thank you, Markus. Will definitely check FleXon’s offering. Looks like it does have a pretty great collection of what I might need. Thanks.

And also thanks for your feedback on Blocs. I am coming from the iWeb era, so even though I was with Blocs for a very long time, I still can’t get my head around some formatting quirks, and since I can’t do code, I am basically a drag-and-drop guy - the new Rapidweaver aka Elements do indeed look very tempting.

Support from Dan was almost instantaneous and fantastic, so I am really thrilled to dive in.

He actually did video tutorials for my Q’s instead of just reply . . .hey, why not, right  which was amazing to see. Well, at least my questions about videos were useful to others as well.

Cheers, Mike
