Sorry for another dumb question, what is ‘Social Widget (EC1)’ that’s in the Inspector pane?

@Beeswax What theme are you using? Have you tried contacting the themes developer? I’m sure this is a function that is theme-specific.
As @Aaron said its a theme-specific function, and what it usually refers to is an optional part of your page referred to as Extra Content (EC) that comes in various zones across the page (i.e. (EC1, EC2, etc.)). What some developers do is make a slim EC region specifically for social media badges, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
