Sudenly Elements do not work

Hi! Sudenly Elements will not work. When I try to create a new project nothing works, I can not drag any component. Can you please help me?

Hmm, I’ve not seen that before, can you try restarting Elements (and perhaps your Mac).

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Dan! I have restarted Elements and my Mac and it still not work. Se the attached clip.

Do you use littlesnitch or any other software blocking communication to Realmac servers?

Can you add another page to see if that allows you to D&D ?

Hi! Thanks for replay.

No I am not using little snitch or othern software that is blocking communication to realmac servers.

Hi @Borgija67,

Can you let me know what Mac you have and the current macOS version.

Cheers

Hi "@tpbradly,

I have Macbook Pro 2018, Sequoia 15.7.3

That’s very strange. I’m wondering when exactly this started happening. Did you run any system utilities, install any new software, or update macOS shortly before the issue appeared?

Hi Dan!

I bought and installed Luminar Neo, nothing else.

The problem started one week ago.

@Borgija67 Would you be able to launch Elements and create a new document, then see if you can right click in the area where the page should be and choose “Inspect Element”. This should show another window where hopefully you’ll see a tab called “Console”. If you click into that Console tab, are any errors shown?

Cheers

Hi!

I got this error: Failed to load resource: A server with the specified hostname could not be found. http://localhost:37320

Can you try redownloading a fresh copy of Elements 1.x and see if that fixes your issue?

We’re also wondering if you have something installed on your Mac that has meddled with your localhost file in the system… Do you install many dev tools, AI code builders, or utilities that could have done something low level on the system?

Hi Dan! Where can i download previous versions of Elements, and should I uninstall Elements before. I do not instal many dev tools or utilities tools. I have Bitdefender and CleanMyMac.

Hi @Borgija67

Can you try the latest beta we’ve just released, you can download it here

No need to remove the existing version first.

If it still doesn’t work, could you choose Help → Upload Support Logs so we can look into it further.

Cheers
Tom

Hi Tom! I’l try with the latest beta.

Hi again! I tried with 2.0 beta and it did not work. I will send you a log file.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks @Borgija67

Could you try disabling Bitdefender and CleanMyMac, then relaunch Elements.

Cheers
