Adding extra spaces between words (or creating indents)

Hi Everyone - A long time ago, I learned of some characters I could type in front of some regular text that would in effect vanish and turn into a space when published. I have some text in a footer (address, phone, and link) that I want to put some air in between. I can’t remember what to type.

Anyone know?
