Is there a way of taking control of this. SEO RX is giving me a crap score of 53 due to generated images having a small-0.jpg added at the end. I love the simplicity of Doobox’s Image Plus stack but the SEO RX score is bugging me as it should be in the 90’s as it was before using Jo’s slider.
I have looked at similar topics and have taken onboard Teefers advice and where it has asked for the alt tag I have entered =“” but that doesn’t seem to work! it still says no alt tag!
Alt tags are considered a required attribute on every HTML img
element per the W3C specifications.
Specifies an alternate text for an image.
Guidelines for the alt text:
- The text should describe the image if the image contains information
- The text should explain where the link goes if the image is inside an
<a>
element- Use alt=“” if the image is only for decoration
The “score” you’re looking for is arbitrary. I doubt that the images you are looking at are “only for decoration” , so it’s more important to use text that describes the image, rather than worry about some magic SEO score number.
Thank you teefers
