I would like to substitute ‘https’ for ‘http’ in all my backlinks to my home on all my pages. Is there any way to do this automatically in RW?

I think that’s hard to say when you say “all” back links on “all” pages. If you’re talking about the link to the homepage from the site logo and/or site title that’s built in to most themes than changing the URL in settings should take care of those.
As for http to https there’s a good number of posts that can help on the forum, just do a search for that or SSL.
