Basic HTML help please

How can I get an image to align left and text to run out from the right side of it (as with Align Image Left in Format/HTML) when using EC snippet in a non stacks page? I tried the two columns snippet but (a) I cannot get a 30/70 width ratio and (b) it looks all wrong on mobile devices. PS I don’t want to use PlusKit.

Thanks!

This - http://webdesign.about.com/od/beginningcss/ht/htcssfloatleft.htm - may help.

Thanks Rob. Looks like it needs some CSS too and I’m not sure I’ll be able to identify the correct components but I’ll give it a try…

Just done it. Thanks Rob! I feel like a real HTML programmer!

I know little or no HTML or CSS (as will be clear from my fumblings elsewhere on these forums) but a better man than me once assured me that even the best often simply Google whatever it is they’re trying to do and then adapt what they find.

One useful tool I’ve found is http://codepen.io where you can mess about with different combinations of html and css and see the results there and then.

Very cool site, thanks for the link!

My pleasure. My mate Pete - who’s a real coder - put me on to it. He uses it all the time.

Hi Rob, That’s a very good link! Thanks for your help. Got the EC area looking just the way I want it, despite being non-Stacks Contact Form: http://www.north-pembrokeshire-sustainable-tourism.org.uk
