Isn’t this the same as when you get a year coverage on a product and the day that warranty runs out, the product breaks…ha, ha. I think it is very nice to see RW respond with a positive comment on this issue, but when you see how much work goes into making their software work properly, knowing that fixing one thing can lead to breaks in others, paying a small price for an upgrade seems a no brainer. Besides, if you look at the upgrade, you might not even want it, if all is working with your year old software.
I just found out that most smart phone software runs out of upgrades after 3-4 years, so if you want the latest OS and your phone is, say 5 years old, you have to buy a new phone. At $500 or more a pop, that isn’t cheap.
I just thought I would offer another view on this subject.
