Contact forms on web sites

For me, it is very important that a Contact Form on a web site send me a copy of what I have written on this contacts page of the web site. The Problem: if the web site gets back to me 3 weeks later, I will have forgotten what I precisely wrote to them.
Most programmers do not allow for this vital feature on their Contacts page. In my view, it should be automatic to send back to me a copy of what I wrote. For legal discussions, this is vital.
I fail to understand why this isn’t an automatic feature of every web page Contacts form.
Cheers.

Hi Paul,

I’m not sure I understand. Can you please elaborate? I am wondering if FormsPlus may work.

Thanks
Greg

@barchard Can we please get FormsPlus on Elements? I would love to be able to use more sophisticated forms and FormsPlus certainly delivers on that front.

Hi Greg, if you fill a web site contact form giving detailed information on that form, the information you wrote is sent to the company whose web site form you are filling out. You do not get a copy of what you sent to them, back to your own email address and so you do NOT have a copy of what you wrote in the form. That is problematic.
However, if the web site form were to automatically send you a copy, then you will know all that you wrote to the company. The problem arises when the company replies to you BUT do not add a copy of your web email to their reply.
Hope that explains it.
Cheers

Hi Paul,

Yes, FormsPlus can do this. You can customize what gets sent to YOU (via FormReceipt Template) and what is sent to the COMPANY (via Form Submission Template). Both of these templates are completely customizable and support the ability to enter what the user submits. This provides BOTH parties a copy of the data.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Cheers
Greg

That’s great Gregory but we need it in Elements.
