When I click on the .pdf in resource I have the two options. I have always used copy URL but lately I have been getting an error. When I switch to copy Macro it works. Can anyone explain the difference to me? Which one should I be using?
@richjh Hi, an URL link is static while a “macro” link is dynamic. If you use the macro link and copy it into different pages, you can update it only once and all the links will be updated. With the URL link it will be necessary to “track” all its occurrences to modify them. Hence the “Partials” at Stacks and the “Globals-replicants-allinonelementseverywhere-whateverUwantbutnameitdefinitelyonce ” to update once and apply everywhere. Both methods have supporters. Cheers
Thank you for your reply. Some of my .pdf files don’t load no matter shat I do but it works with the macro option when I copy and paste. I was wondering why and you answered that question.
