Dev Diary Ep46 - Grids, Buttons, and Beta Updates

Hello again,

We’ve been hard at work squashing bugs and polishing up Components, in today’s dev diary I go over some of those changes — It’s sometimes the small things that make a big difference

We’re aiming to release beta 20 later today, keep your eyes peeled for the update!

Watch today’s video and post in the comments below if you’d like to get in on the Elements beta later this week

Thanks as always!

We’re listening to all your feedback and working super hard to make Elements the perfect website builder.

See you soon!

Thanks,
Dan & Team Realmac.

@dan Did you all touch resources this time around??

This is much more intuitive. Great tweaks! Especially like the drop zone option.

@kDog - You’re on the list :wink:

Sent email about getting in to the Beta and also signed up months ago. A little bump up the list would be nice:)

@engrafiker Perfect, you’re top of the list too!

Please add me to the list, already watched all your video’s.

Thank you for the image support in buttons.

But for some reason I’m unable to drop an SVG into the drop zone, instead it drops it outside the button. Would be nice if there was an actual image well in the inspector as well to make it even easier to drop the item.

It’s looking great Dan and team. I’d really appreciate a bump to beta so I can get in there and make some wonderfulness! Thanks!

You’re on the list, look out for an email later this week :crossed_fingers:

I would love to get bumped so I can test the FTP/SFTP on my
servers at my datacenter.

Jeff

OK, the problem here was user error. I did not realize that I had to drop an SVG COMPONENT into the drop zone not an SVG image. Works as expected now. Sorry.

While I like how I can drag items into the grid that faint blue line to indicate the drop zone is very thin and nearly disappears when placed next to another blue item like the default button color.

What if the highlight filled the spot that the element is about to be placed into instead?

Hi @dan
Can you post the project file you use in this demo? Thx.
